Ryan Price founded Six Gun Records in 2017. Being located near Fort Worth, Texas, he has primarily worked with Texas Country/Red Dirt artists. He has played and sang in the country scene himself for 10+ years, all the while making connections and building clientele for the label. With a partnership in 2020 with Red Ridge Entertainment in Nashville, Price splits time between his own studio and the flagship studio there.
"By partnering with Red Ridge Entertainment, not only can we send Texas artists there to record, but we can also capitalize on the Nashville market as well," Ryan says.
Though Price still records in his studio in Texas he plans to move to Nashville in 2021 to further the partnership there. "The players there are unbelievable! They have played for names such as Tim McGraw, Jamey Johnson, The Chicks, Joe Nichols, Cole Swindell, and the list goes on and on."
With the partnership in 2020, Price plans to make Six Gun Records a big name player in Nashville, as well as Texas. By capitalizing on both markets, he believes Six Gun Records will produce quality artists and recordings for both sides of country music.
From middle school to college, music was always at the front of Payce Goldsmith's mind: Road crew for his aunt’s band at the age of 12, learning to play bass at 14 to join a church band, and taking over as lead guitarist for the Ryan Bennett Band at 19.
Payce plays both lead and rhythm guitar, as well as bass. He also is a songwriter, and lends a hand with production where applicable. Payce has joined Six Gun Records in an official capacity as the head of A&R, handling artist relations.
